The Vocational Graduate Certificate in Cosmetic Nursing (51987)
The Vocational Graduate Certificate in Cosmetic Nursing is a postgraduate course developed specifically for Enrolled or Registered Nurses wishing to enter the field of cosmetic medicine. This government-accredited course will provide students with the knowledge and hands-on skills required to work in a cosmetic medical practice and/or accredited day hospital performing cosmetic nursing, dermal therapies and injectable procedures.
Admission requirements
Bachelor of Nursing or Diploma of Enrolled Nursing
Course duration and commitment
Full-time: 24 hours per week over 1 16-week semester
Part-time: 12 hours per week over 2 16-week semesters
Single unit: 6 hours per week over 1 16 week semester
Study modes available
The Vocational Graduate Certificate of Cosmetic Nursing is available online with some units available on-campus. Online students are to complete the 10 to 14-day practical component of the course in Perth, WA or Sydney NSW.
Further Learning Pathways – Introduction to Injectables
AACDS has provided RNs enrolled in the Vocational Graduate Certificate with the opportunity to undertake hands-on training in injectabe procedures. This optional unit involves the theoretical and hands-on skills required to inject BOTOX® and dermal fillers within the appropriate doctor supervised setting. The two-day training course is conducted and sponsored by industry leaders Allergan. Students will be required to perform BOTOX® and JUVERDERM® injections to obtain an internationally recognised industry certificate
