Jacqueline Kelly (RN)

Jacqueline Kelly Lecturer/Assessor for units 1.2 Dermal Science Human Biology, 1.2GC Principles of Cosmetic Nursing, 2.1 Cosmetic Science Surgical and Non-Surgical.

Jacqueline began her training in the UK in 1988. She trained in Queen Alexanders Royal Army Nursing Corps and served in the military for over 10 years. In this role she gained invaluable specialised experiences in burns, plastic surgery and reconstructive nursing. She went onto develop this interest completing her specialist qualification in ENB 264 Burns and Plastic Surgery Nursing with the University of Sussex and Kent.

Jacqueline's work experiences included; Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead and Salisbury District Hospital, Odstock - two of the UK's largest specialists in Burns and Plastic Surgery.

In 2001 Jacqueline began her teaching career in vocational training and she went onto complete her graduate teaching certificate with New College Durham. Following several years in vocational training she went on to become a full time lecturer with the student nurse cadet programme and level 4/5 management students.

For the last 2 years Jacqueline has worked as a clinical nurse specialist with a national company in the UK specialising in laser and aesthetic medicine. Her role included several laser treatments including hair reduction, tattoo removal, vascular treatments, microdermabrasions, chemical peels, facial filler injectables and muscle relaxant injections. This role also included preparing clients for surgical procedures and assisting in theatre.

She moved to Australia this year and has joined AACDS as a lecturer and ADH in a nursing capacity.
