Trischa Edwards

Human Biology Lecturer

Trischa has a committed and dedicated interest in all aspects of Biomedical Science. She was awarded a Bachelor Degree in Biomedical Science from Edith Cowan University and has special interests in Human Biology, Genetics, Pharmacology, Psychology and Health Promotions. Whilst undertaking her university studies, she completed paramedical training with the Royal Australian Army Medical Corps and actively provided paramedical services as an Army Medic. Upon completing her degree, Trischa commenced post-graduate studies in Echocardiography (Cardiac Sonography) and was awarded a Diploma in Medical Sonography by the Australasian Society for Ultrasound in Medicine. She is currently an active member of the Australasian Sonographer Accreditation Registry as an Accredited Medical Sonographer.

Trischa has developed her professional skills in a diverse range of clinical environments including both hospital and private practice. She has enjoyed the dual role of clinical experience and corporate training through the provision of consultancy services to GE Australia as an Ultrasound Applications Specialist. Trischa has recently completed a Cambridge Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA). The CELTA qualification specialises in teaching English to learners from non-English speaking backgrounds and Trischa will hybridise these skills with her existing knowledge to teach Human Biology internationally with the Australasian Academy of Cosmetic Dermal Science.
